WP Digital's HP Indigo service gives you the opportunity to produce instant high quality printed media, from packaging and promotional material to mailers and point of sale marketing literature, with costs, quantities and turnarounds to suit you. Our in house finishing department ensures that as well as being produced quickly, your digitally printed urgent work can be laminated, creased, folded, die cut and made up without compromising quality and delivery times.

Basics

For those who have not used digital offset printing before the process basically does away with the need for film, plates and make ready time, allowing for greater flexibility. Turnaround times are rapid. Our digital press incorporates multiple paper feeds thus eliminating the need to stop the press mid-run and reload a different stock, print runs can be finished in hours not days. Full colour printing is available on demand.

Quality

A recent revelation in digital print technology has been the ability to consistently produce high quality solid colours through the CMYK process. Whilst it was once believed that lithographic printing had the advantage in terms of colour precision, as well as the choice of substrates, the new generation of HP digital presses have proved to be more than equal to the challenge. Our HP digital press uses liquid inks with a particle size of 0.8microns
compared with 5 microns for toner based inks. We can print at 812x812dpi and 230 lines per inch on a wide variety of media which rivals the offset process in every way.

Spot UV

Ultra Violet (UV) gloss varnishing is an effective eye catching
technique highlighting specific areas of media with great
effect. Conventional spot UV varnishing uses a silk screen
technique, this is a specialist process and normally incurs
substantial additional time and costs.

By using a digital matte ink specifically developed for the HP
Indigo press, spot varnishing is simulated by laying the ink on a gloss stock and reversing out the gloss characteristics. This can be combined to run with the four colour printing
throughout your job. It is as flexible and fast as our regular
digital printing and gives your work the added bonus of a UV
gloss eye catching edge, as shown on this leaflet.

Personalisation

It is the personalisation capabilities of digital print that has had the biggest impact within the print industry, with pages personalised to the individual organisation or recipient.

Our advanced digital technology has the ability to print variable fields within multiple areas, either text or pictures, thus producing tailored and targeted mail pieces for true one-to-one personalisation.
